Biography
Irish synthwave band Empire State Human (aka ESH) formed in 1999 by founding members Aidan Casserly & Lar Kiernan.

Having self released their debut album called "Martian Anthems" with Peoplesound.com in 2000, they were then brought to the attention of the US label Ninthwave Records (the US home of Heaven 17 and Whitetown) by Todd Durrant (from the US A Different Drum synth label) and thanks to the manager of the 80s band Alphaville.

In 2002 their 21 track debut album "Pop Robot" was released to excellent reviews. Many of its track featuring on US College playlists, web blogs and Independent radio stations and various compilations around the world.

Along with gaining an excellent reputation for releasing 3 albums in 2002! ("Music For Humans" and "Alpha & Omega" being the other two after "Pop Robot") they also played the world famous Goth venue in New York, the Albion Batcave to great acclaim. They've since gone on to have a #1 in the US iTunes Dance charts with a cover of "Theme to Halloween", record music for both film and TV adverts and to release 15 official releases since 2002.

Their 2009 album "Audio Gothic" included a track with ex-Kraftwerk Wolfgang Flur (called "Melancholic Afro", which the site Laptoprockers put out to remix via an exclusive competition. The results of which became two remix EPs the same year). With over 150 tracks on iTunes, they're one of the most productive synthpop bands around today.

In 2012 ESH self released a brand new studio album "The Art" as well as a stand alone single "December Rose" in August 2013 they released a brand new studio album "Soul of the Machine" .
Currently recording a new album for 2014.
